How does this actually work in my restaurant?
You put your Voitly number on Google, your menu, and your door (or forward your existing line). The AI answers every call on the first ring, takes the whole order in a natural conversation, confirms it back, and drops the ticket on your kitchen display in under 3 seconds. Guests at the table can also scan a QR code and tap or type their order as an extra channel. Same display, same kind of ticket your line cook has been reading for 20 years.
Will my guests have to download an app?
No. Callers just dial your number the way they always have, and the AI answers like a member of staff. For the QR table-ordering side, the code opens straight into the phone browser. No App Store. No signup. No password to reset. Your 68-year-old guest can use both.
What about the tourist who does not speak English?
The AI auto-detects 40+ languages, from what a caller says on the phone or a guest types at the table, including Mandarin, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Korean, Hindi. Your kitchen ticket comes out in English. Nothing to configure. (Starter covers English, Arabic, and Hindi.)
How long to get live?
10 minutes for most rooms. Sign up, paste your menu (or upload a PDF and we OCR it), and point your phone line at Voitly. Your first phone order can fire before your coffee goes cold. Want table ordering too? Print the QR codes and stick them on the tables, two more minutes.
Do I also get QR table ordering?
Yes, included on every plan as a bonus channel. Print the QR codes, stick them on tables, trays, or counter cards, and guests tap or type their order straight to the same kitchen display. The phone agent is the main event; the QR quietly picks up the walk-ins.
What about allergies? I am terrified of the liability.
Fair. The AI flags every allergen before the order is confirmed. A caller says "I have a peanut allergy," the AI cross-checks every dish, and asks again if anything is borderline. Same at the table over QR. It does not forget. It does not get distracted. Your insurance underwriter will love it.
Can the AI sound like my restaurant, not a robot?
Yes. On Multi / Pro you name your AI ("Marco" if you are Italian, "Aria" if you are modern, anything you want), pick its voice and tone (warm, casual, refined), and tell it what to push tonight. It speaks like a regular on your floor, not a customer service bot.
How does the upsell actually work? Will it feel pushy?
A caller orders a burger. The AI offers a side of fries before it closes the order. A guest at the table orders a steak over QR. The AI offers the wine that pairs with it. Never twice. Never aggressive. Average £4.20 more per order. Over 60 orders a Saturday, that is £252 your tired captain was not going to ask for.
Does this replace my POS?
No. Voitly is the order-taking and kitchen-display layer. Keep your Square, your Toast, your Lightspeed. On Restaurant and Multi / Pro we connect to them directly. On Starter you export orders to CSV every night for reconciliation.
Can I run breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus?
Yes. Breakfast 7 to 11, lunch 11 to 3, dinner 5 to 11, drinks all night. The AI flips menus automatically. No one on your team has to remember to "switch the menu over" at 5pm.
Is this GDPR-clean?
Yes. Order data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell it. Set your retention from 30 days to forever. Delete any guest record on request, no support ticket needed. Guests do not have to create accounts.
What happens on day 8?
On day 8 you pick a plan or you walk away. The trial is the full Restaurant experience, with the AI phone agent live from day one under a fair-use cap of 75 minutes (about 25 calls) in total for the trial. No card on day one, so there is nothing to surprise-charge and nothing to cancel. Your menu, QR codes, and order history stay if you decide to upgrade.
Does this work for fast food or a cafe?
Yes. Sit-down rooms, cafes, food halls, fast food counters, ghost kitchens, hotel lounges. Anywhere the phone rings, the AI answers it. Then add the QR on a table tent, a tray liner, a receipt, or a counter card for walk-ins. Starter is priced for smaller rooms.
Can my team still take orders the old way?
Yes. Your team types orders into the dashboard whenever they want. Manual tickets land on the kitchen display next to AI ones, tagged by source. Voitly catches the orders your team is too busy to take. It does not replace them.
